Reviews

I cannot express how much my husband and I enjoyed being at Gartmore your staff could not have made us feel more welcome and I loved being taught by Ewa who is a remarkable tutor. Ewa has a wealth of experience and is most generous with her skills/experience. The red piece of Nuno Felt I made was transformed into a shawl/cowl and the large grey/white/black and red piece I turned into a reversible top/tunic. I will certainly be coming back to Gartmore either in May or Sept next year to attend another 5 day workshop.

This course is always so enjoyable and instructive. The tutor is excellent and allows us to work on our own projects at our own pace whilst giving great advice, support and teaching. The atmosphere at Gartmore House is just amazing – making it feel like a home rather than a ‘centre'. The staff – every one of them is so friendly and interested in what is being created and how we are progressing, which is great. Thank you for another great weekend and we will be back!

Thank you for everything – it was like paradise. Sometimes the food portions were too big! I don't want to leave! I'll be back for more painting courses. Great painting tutor. Fantastic company and location. Well done for all the restoration/decorating work in the bedrooms. Very comfortable, thank you! Exceptionally well looked after – thanks.

This week at Gartmore has been very enjoyable. We were made to feel welcome by the reception staff. The bedroom was very comfortable – good bed and pillows and was serviced daily. The food was generous and very good and the staff who looked after us were friendly and helpful. Many thanks for a good holiday.

A thoroughly great experience. Never thought at my age that anyone could teach me how to crochet, however Samira succeeded where all others failed. Will be back in 2019!

Arrival information & directions

Address: Gartmore House, Gartmore, Stirling, Stirling, StirlingFK8 3RS, United Kingdom

Gartmore Estate's postcode is FK8 3RS, however most satnavs will try to take you through the village to the House, which involves a very uneven and rough track not suitable for normal vehicles; there is a sign at this point in the village 'No Vehicle Access to Gartmore Estate'. Please do not try and access the estate through the village; ignore the road into the village and continue on the A81; you will see a clear sign 'Gartmore House' (you will go under an arch with a gatehouse) and continue up this drive to the House itself.
