Magnificent highland estate in south Skye, the last ancestral home of the Macdonalds of Sleat, now operated by the Clan Donald Lands Trust. Visitors can explore 40 acres of historic gardens and woodland walks around the romantic ruins of Armadale Castle, and enjoy stunning views across the Sound of Sleat to the mountains of Knoydart. The mild climate created by the Gulf Stream and the sheltered aspect make the gardens a floral paradise. The estate is also home to the award-winning Museum of the Isles where you can discover the history of the Highlands and Islands through the story of Clan Donald. There’s also a lovely café in the converted Stables building, two gift shops for that special souvenir, and a programme of events and activities.

Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles also has a Self Catering:

Armadale Castle Lodges and Apartments (Self Catering Section)
