Canterbury Cathedral

Cathedral House, 11 The Precincts, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2EH

Canterbury Cathedral, located in the heart of Canterbury, has a tradition of visitor welcome that reaches back to the days of medieval pilgrimage.
Wander around at leisure to marvel at the medieval stained glass windows, soaring fan vaulting of Bell Harry Tower, site of Thomas Becket's murder and Gothic splendour of the Quire. Alternatively, join one of the general tours that take place throughout the day (except Sunday). Cathedral guides are experts at bringing the Cathedral's rich history to life and you will learn all about murder, royal connections, monastic life in medieval times and the Cathedral's role in the worldwide Anglican Communion.
The Cathedral is regularly used for local, regional and national services and events and therefore restrictions are sometimes in place. Always check up to date opening times before travelling.
