The NVR is within easy reach of Peterborough on the junction of the A1 - A47 . There are 'brown signs' on most major roads.

Steam engines, historic rolling stock, workshop viewing facilities, post office museum, second hand railway bookshop, children's play area, shop and cafe ... the list of things to do is almost endless. Some however prefer just to chill out soak up the atmosphere and let time roll away to the age of steam.

There is more than enough to do at the railway but for an extended stay you can visit the gorgeous nearby town of Stamford, Historic Oundle, Peterborough Cathedral or use the railway to transport you to the local Nene Park complex.
