Scarlet Hotel

A hotel for adults. What a great idea! The three sisters who are the creative team behind The Scarlet also run a family hotel across the road, but on this romantic Cornish clifftop they decided to create an eco-hotel where couples can reconnect. Pride of place is given to the Scarlet's hot tub heated by a biomass boiler to create an alfresco bonding experience, but there are also the 'Scarlet Journeys', a sequence of therapies designed to help adults re-focus on each other. The hotel is beautifully designed to make the most of the views from its headland position and the happy eco-friendliness has extended to a reed-filtered outdoor swimming pool, solar-heated indoor pool, minimal carbon emissions and the re-use of building materials from the old Tredragon Hotel that formerly stood on this site. The Scarlet is a deliberately relaxed hotel with no obvious reception desk and a policy of serving guests whatever they want to eat and drink wherever and whenever they want it. Truly this is a unique and highly relaxing hotel.
