The Sign of the Angel
The Sign of the Angel hotel is a 15th Century wool merchants house in the village of Lacock on the southern edge of the Cotswolds. The whole village is now owned by the National Trust, there are no television aerials, no yellow lines and no overhead cables. There are six bedrooms, four Superior and two Standard of which one is a twin. One room features a four poster bed, another the enormous Brunel bed and a third an antique French tented bed. The Restaurant, lit by candlelight in the evenings, has become nationally famous for its traditionally English style of cooking, including Lacock beef, fish direct from Cornwall, vegetarian options and the the full à la carte menu.
