The Henley Hotel was originally built during the Edwardian times as a holiday cottage and today still retains the cosy atmosphere of a private home rather than a hotel. Overlooking one of the most spectacular coastal views in Devon spanning the Avon Estuary around to Burgh Island and beyond. All of the six bedrooms have private ensuite facilities. The Henley has gained a growing reputation for fine home cooked food and dishes which include as much fresh local produce as possible. The Restaurant and bar has a residential licence with a good choice of wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.

| Local directions: | Leave A38 at Modbury / Ermington junction (just after south brent junction). Turn left at 'T' junction and continue until crossroads signposted Loddiswell. Go straight across this untill the next crossroads. Pass garage on your left and take the turning signposted Bigbury/Bigbury-on-Sea. Time from A38 approx 20 minutes. After passing through Bigbury village go past golf course into Bigbury-on-Sea. The Hotel is situated on the left as the road slopes down towards the sea. |
