Local directions: Overwater Hall is located just two miles from Bassenthwaite Lake in the North of the Lake District. From the M6 Junction 40, follow the A66 towards Keswick and Workington. Do not leave the A66 to enter Keswick Town Centre. At roundabout take the third exit, the A591, signposted towards Carlisle. Continue on this road for about 8 miles and at crossroads by the Castle Inn take the turning on the right, signposted to Uldale, Caldbeck and Ireby. Follow for approx 2 miles. You should now be on a minor road which has a steady incline for the two miles. Just before sharp uphill left-hand bend, turn right at the house (also on right) with a sign to Overwater Hall Hotel embedded in the wall. Entrance to the hotel is 400 yards on the right-hand side.
