The Bear Inn & Hotel

The Bear Inn is one of the oldest and most renowned inns and restaurants in Derbyshire, established in 1735. It overlooks miles of countryside and serves Real Ales and gastro pub food. People generally like to feel special, relaxed and informal. Whether taking a holiday break or travelling to Derbyshire on business we hope that you'll feel all of these things at the Bear. We're a small hotel with just 8 rooms and 2 cottages overlooking miles of beautiful countryside. The rooms vary from premier with four-poster beds and rich fabrics, to standard rooms equally oozing character and charm. All rooms are en-suite. The cottages are self contained, (should you be disciplined enough to resist the Bear menu)...and enjoy a private garden area overlooking our paddocks and the rolling hills. The Bear restaurant has won various accolades and awards in the past five years, priding itself on local produce and a menu that spans traditional and fusion cooking.
