West Vale Country House


West Vale Country Guest House is an elegant traditional Lakeland stone built house of considerable character and charm, built in the 1890’s as a Victorian gentleman’s residence. The house has been renovated and re-furbished in traditional style to a very high standard. This is complemented by fine antique furnishings and prints. All the bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated to a very high standard. West Vale Country House enjoys an excellent reputation for both its food and service. Enjoy dining in the elegant AA Two Rosette Restaurant overlooking Beatrix Potter Country, Grizedale Forest and the Old Man of Coniston beyond, followed, should you choose to do so, by coffee and petit fours served in the lounge which also enjoys these beautiful views. The food served in our restaurant is classical in origin with a modern twist. Locally sourced fresh and organic produce are used whenever possible and the menu changes daily.
