This charming 13th-century stone-built hotel provides convenient, elegant accommodation in stunning, scenic natural surroundings, with modern facilities seamlessly incorporated alongside stunning original features. The Tudor Farmhouse Hotel is situated in the historic village of Clearwell, on the fringe of Dean Forest and the Wye Valley. Located within the centre of the countryside's natural beauty, the hotel is surrounded by immaculately tended landscaped gardens and 14 acres of fields. The spectacular original features of the building include massive beams of oak, original panelling, an oak spiral staircase, and a huge, rough stone inglenook fireplace in the lounge. The 20 en-suite rooms have been redesigned in a traditional style, without losing the beautiful historical character of the building. Every space offers sensitively fitted contemporary comforts and amenities including tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, satellite flat-screen TVs and wireless internet access.
Absolutely beautiful place. Gorgeous, tranquil village and a superbly appointed Farmhouse stay. We were given a free upgrade into the suite - which was outstanding. Comfy, clean, well furnished, great bath & shower. The staff were excellent and we ate on one of our two nights (book ahead to reserve!). The food was also excellent. 100% recommended! GeoffM

The quality of the accommodation and service is excellent. However, this break was meant to be relaxing for my husband who is unwell, being woken up by screaming young children all 3 mornings was not ideal. The room we stayed in had a family room underneath us with no sound proofing. I’m afraid this did impact out stay. AlexT
