The Pheasant is a charming old Coaching Inn situated close to Bassenthwaite Lake in the peaceful unspoilt northern end of the Lake District. It is one of the last remaining traditional Cumbrian hostelries. The thirteen individually decorated bedrooms have been sympathetically refurbished to the highest standard. Three suite rooms offer extra space and a comfortable sitting area within the bedroom. The high standard of food served is very well known, both to local diners and guests from further afield. Ranging from local Cumbrian specialities to fine dining there is something to suit all tastes. An extensive choice of wines from around the world complements the daily changing menus.
