The Bell at Skenfrith

One of the great gastropubs. The Bell at Skenfrith re-opened in 2001 after extensive refurbishment. Carefully and thoughtfully decorated, the flagstone floors, oak beams and antique furniture coupled with sumptuous sofas, give The Bell an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Named after Fishing Flies, the eight guestrooms are individually decorated and come with fresh flowers, heavy Welsh blankets and delicioud bathroom products. The restaurant has won many awards for its food, including 2 AA Rosettes. The full a la carte menu changes regularly and offers locally sourced seasonal food. The sausages and lamb are both mighty fine.
