Its a perfect overnight stopping place for visitors from the Continent heading for the West Country and the North, and wanting to avoid London. Sleep deep in one of the magnificent four-posters in the Georgian part of the house or a bedroom in the Tudor wing; each has been individually decorated with family antiques, delightful fabrics, old English china, silver and embroidery. Guests can sit and relax in the Summer House and enjoy the views of the woods and lakes beside the 'Hot' Herbaceous Border and the Rose Garden, or walk round the large 1728 walled and brick pathed herb, vegetable and fruit garden.
