St Olaves Hotel
St Olaves is a small, intimate hotel situated in the heart of the historic City of Exeter with it's own walled garden yet only 400 yards from the Cathedral itself. An attractive Grade II listed Georgian mansion is was originally built in 1827 by the merchant James Goldsworthy. The hotel has fourteen en-suite bedrooms and two suites - which can be turned into 2 bedroom family suites. The Treasury Restaurant, named to mark the fact that Charles 11`s coins were minted close by, is open for lunch and dinner and offers both a short but interesting snack menu and two and three course meals. The small, intimate bar is a relaxed place to enjoy some interesting local desert wines, including the famous Canadian Ice Wine, and smooth vintage ports.
