Dolmelynllyn Hall is special place - spacious, elegant, comfortable, luxurious, stylish and full of character. Large enough to be grand, and small enough for you to receive the personal attention that the best country house hotels in Britain are famous for. The house has nine guest bedrooms which are named after local Welsh rivers, each having its own unique features. Everyone who stays is drawn to the windows in the conservatory to look at the view. The conservatory and cocktail bar are located beyond the Shelley Restaurant at upper terrace level. On warm days the doors of this lovely room are thrown open so visitors can stroll out onto the grassy terraces and wander about the gardens with their drinks.

| Local directions: | From the south - take the A470 in a northerly direction from the town of Dolgellau. You could stay on the by-pass and avoid the town... The road is signed Barmouth, Betws y Coed, Portmadoc. At the Barmouth turn take the second exit [straight on at the roundabout - A470] and drive about 3 miles. Look out for the Tyn y Groes pub on the left. The hotel turn is about 1 mile further on the left hand side. The hotel stands back from the main road in an elevated position overlooking the valley. From the north - take the A470 to Dolgellau. Pass through the village of Ganllwyd. Just as you leave the village and about 50 metres after the village hall, the hotel entrance is on your right hand side. |
