What a gem. Arriving at Hipping Hall, you discover a 17th century house draped in wisteria and steeped in history where everything has been chosen with great care to make sure you experience only the very best. The bedrooms are designed with sumptuous fabrics and fabulous Vi-Spring beds (the best) and bathrooms are a calm oasis of natural stone, slate and limestone. The are also some cottage rooms if you want to hole up in your own secret hideaway. The restaurant, located in a 15th century hall with tapestries and a minstrels' gallery, is as impressive as it is intimate, serving delicious local food and offering a wonderful tasting menu.
