Good, Quality & Charming Small Hotels & Inns Isle of Colonsay


The small Island of Colonsay is in the Hebrides off the West Coast of Scotland and only has about 100 inhabitants. It has a ferry to the island five times a week in summer and offers a variety attractions from lovely sandy beaches to rockpools and an abundance of wildlife. There are seal colonies of the shore and a large collection of seabirds on the Western coast of the island. There are interesting woodland gardens at Colonsay House with a variey of flowers, shrubs and trees.
