Yarner House

Haytor Road, Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Devon, TQ13 9LN

Welcome to Yarner House, a recently renovated Scandinavian inspired luxury hide away.

Located at the foot of Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor this stunning 17th century Tudor manor house offers a unique and atmospheric experience. The beautiful views across the Wray Valley boast some of the best vistas in Devon and the exclusive selling point is to offer exceptional accommodation in an idyllic historic retreat.

Away from the bustle of city life, Yarner offers the perfect escape to a hidden gem in this peaceful family run venture. The Holman family offer a home from home atmosphere making guests feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Eve’s Apartment is self-contained and offers three luxuriously decorated bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The rooms are individual with comfortable beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, fresh plump towels and flowers picked from the garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and our guests can buy local produce from the farm down the valley. There is a large wooden dining table and chairs within the open plan kitchen offering you the chance to relax with friends whilst preparing meals. Visitors are offered a deluxe hamper which includes a continental breakfast, coffee, tea and other local treats to make you feel as welcome as possible. The sitting room is light and airy with comfortable sofas and a stunning skylight which affords the room plenty of natural daylight. There is a large flat screen TV and lots of classic board games including cards and dominoes, for your use.

Yarner is set within 250 acres of farm land and rural countryside. The gardens are peaceful and secluded and are planted with many specimen trees and beautiful flowers and shrubs. There are always plants to look at whatever the season and the wildlife is bountiful. There are plenty of local pubs and restaurants, long countryside walks and tor climbing up on Dartmoor, a short distance from the house.

Information packs are given on arrival to help guide you in and around Yarner House and the environs. Yarner House offer ample safe parking outside the house. As a boutique guesthouse, the accommodation is not suitable for infants and children under 12. Each room is for 2 persons maximum.
