The Ploughman's Rest is a self-catering cottage on the south-west coast of Scotland that has been lovingly restored with modern utilities and furnishings, whilst retaining its eighteenth-century charm. Visitors receive complimentary packs of local produce before having the chance to choose from the numerous outdoor pursuits that can be experienced here, together with excellent walks and scenery. Amongst those attracted to this part of Ayrshire are those looking to experience its famous golf courses, fishing waters and sailing pursuits around the many isles, such as the Islands of Arran and Bute, where often whales, dolphins and seals can be witnessed.
