Steele's Mill is a self-catering holiday home situated near Penrith, in Cumbria, an ideal locations for exploring the famous landscapes of the Lake District. The property is a restored corn mill that dates back to the fourteenth century, serving as a great example of the area's rich history, though it has been fitted with luxury furnishings and beddings, together with all modern kitchen equipment necessary to achieve that home-away-from-home feel. The mill's restoration includes hand-made oak features courtesy of local craftsmen, and the water wheel itself has much of its character saved. The riverbank that runs alongside Steele's Mill contains brown trout and attracts other wildlife.

Local directions: Use Sat nav to get to Kings Meaburn CA10 3BU , but do not try to find the cottage on sat nav. When in the village find the red tin village hall, take the road going down the hill towards the river, bear off to the left over the cattle grid along a bumpy track. Go over the bridge and you will see Steele's mill ahead of you, go through the gate into the private yard and you will see the entrance door.
