“Stress melts away in this goregeous retreat”

My wife and I stayed in Polly's Bower cottage at Lantallack in April 2012. We were completely burned out from work and in poor spirit. On arrival at Lantallack, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly owners who got us settled in within a few minutes. They gave us all the privacy we needed. After our brief tour of the 2 person cottage, we were left with a wonderful welcome hamper, plenty of logs for the woodburning stove, the sounds of new-born lambs bleeting and song-birds flitting in front of the cottage. The decoration and furnishings are of a high standard and there is a massive queen-size bed. The kitchen is well fitted and the living spaces are really comfortable. Although only 1 mile from the main road, we could hear or see no traffic - only lovely views over the Cornish countryside. This also means touring Devon and Cornwall is easy from this great location. You'll also find an information folder in the cottage - we can recommend The View restaurant as the food is fantastic (we can't comment on the view as the mist was down to the sea, but that didn't matter and we had a great lunch). Our only complaint? Well, we only had 4 nights so as soon as we got back home we booked another week for September. I think this is the first time my wife and I have returned to the same accommodation twice so it really says something about the quality of Polly's Bower because we've travelled to over 50 countries of the world... Great place. Don't change anything - I think it has become our quick getaway when we need to go from manically stressed to calm...! See you again soon.....
