Forest Holidays, Keldy

Keldy Cabin, Cawthorn, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 8HW

Follow the forest road as it drops deep into the wooded valley; feel the calm of the forest wrap itself around you, and listen... silence. This is Keldy, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. If ever there was a place to feel that special magic of the forest, it is here in Keldy, a paradise of sunlit glades, tumbling crystal clear brooks and shy woodland creatures.

The Keldy cabins blend delightfully into their woodland surroundings, some hidden beneath the trees and others opening out onto soft grassy glades. Warm and welcoming, in an idyllic woodland setting, they provide a peaceful haven from the world outside.

Review of Forest Holidays, Keldy

We stayed at the beginning of the month with my client who has autism and learning difficulties. One particular member of staff went out of her way to help us out (didn't manage to get her name) we could only stay one night due to unforeseen circumstances but unfortunately could only book a minimum of 4 nights! You can't get any signal but there is wifi that you can pay for - the lady in reception told me that we could have the wifi for free for the night when I went to pay for it due to us only staying one night of our stay and also we had to keep in touch with the care home where our client lives - I know it isn't much but this really made our day!!! The cabin was very clean and spacious, and the hot tub was fantastic! The food from the cafe on site was lovely but a little pricey. There was two stray cats who was always very friendly and cute!
I think this is a great place to stay and the staff are the cherry to top of the cake. I will defiantly be returning hopefully next time without having to work so I can explore the place a lot more.
Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so great!! :)

As always a great welcome by the staff , lost count of number of times we have now been as the kids love the cabins. Visit to Dalby Forest, across the moor to Whitby for fish and chips and a walk up and down the steps at the Abbey as well as pottery painting in the retreat and Archery with AJ .Will be back again in October.

Stayed for 4 nights. Absolutely beautiful. The cabin was clean and the hot tub was amazing. The views from our deck were spectacular. Although the park was almost full it was very peaceful. The woodland walks are a must. The scenery is fantastic. Would definately stay again!
