Dolphin Cottage is a beautiful 5 Star Gold Award property situated on the edge of the conservation village of Freshford, close to Bath, Longleat and Wells. Full of character and charm, this cottage dates back to the 17th century and has been restored to retain many of its original features but including up-to-date fixtures and fittings. A superb base for exploring the Cotswolds or the famous city of Bath. The 3 bedrooms sleep up to 5 guests (and baby) and is perfect for short breaks or longer stays. Overlooking fields with wonderful walks on the doorstep, the cottage is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Off road parking for 3 cars is available.

We have stayed in numerous cottages throughout the UK and Dolphin Cottage rates amongst the best. It is a superbly appointed house in a marvellous location. Easy access to Bath together with superb rural walks on the doorstep.
The village and surroundings are very attractive as is the local Inn. Excellent selection of Ales and good food.
The owner could not be more helpful.
We will return.

Review of Dolphin Cottage

I cannot recommend this Cottage enough! I planned a surprise brithday trip to the cottage for my wife's 40th birthday with my young family in tow. I could not have chosen a better cottage. It has a lovely old world feel about it with wooden beamed ceilings & a huge 17th century fireplace, at the same time the cottage has been updated with all mod cons, including a lovely modern kitchen. In all honesty it was difficult to find any fault at all.

While the cottage is in the lovely rural village of Freshford it is only a short trip by bus or train to Bath.

Rowena the owner was brilliant in helping me organise a few extra surprises during the trip and was always very helpful and forthcoming with any questions i had.

Having read the reviews in the Visitors book my recommendation to stay in this Cottage was backed up by every visitor to the Cottage. We can't all be wrong!
