Country Holiday Cottages consist of two pleasant and traditional 4 Star self-catering holiday homes at Low Penhowe, not far from one of England's favourite historical cities, York, and the much-loved natural environments of the Yorkshire Wolds and the Howardian Hills. Derwent and Primrose Cottages are both comfortably furnished, are superbly located for a satisfying supply of local food produce, and ideal for walkers and those who want to relax on holiday in a peaceful and scenic environment. The area is unique for its many historic sites, houses, museums and railways, while the city of York has many famous attributes and offers the option of river cruises.

Local directions: From the South - M1, A1/A1M (North), A64 - marked YORK, A64, become single carriageway, Continue on A64, until it becomes Dual Carriageway again You need to watch for signs at this stage A64, WHITWELL ON THE HILL Move to right hand lane and turn right - marked WESTOW, CRAMBE & KIRKHAM Head down the hill, over the level crossing Over the River Derwent Pass the ruins of Kirkham Priory on your right Pass the Stone Trough Inn on your left Heading towards WESTOW At T junction turn right, past the Blacksmiths Arms on your left Turn left, marked BURYTHORPE Watch out - Narrow Lane At cross roads - straight across marked BURYTHORPE 700 yards, turn right Up the drive to Low Penhowe.
