Broadgate Farm Cottages

Broadgate Farm, Beverley Road, Walkington, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 8RP

Like most of award-winning Broadgate Farm Cottages’ guests, it’s likely that once you have stayed here, you are going to want to come back. Set in 19 acres of grass and woodland in the Yorkshire Wolds near the lovely market town of Beverley, the farm has six luxury cottages ranging from a cosy two-bed to a spacious six bedroom property. All are furnished and decorated beautifully - think wood-burning stoves, super modern squeaky clean bathrooms, wooden beams and cozy sofas. Children also adore the fact that they can meet the animals who make Broadgate their home. Beyond the farm, take a wander around pretty Beverley with its historic minster, barrel along to the coast at lovely Whitby (don’t miss the Abbey ruins on the moody hillside overlooking the town) or head for the moors or wolds for a hearty day’s walking before sampling the local ales in one of the three country pubs in nearby Walkington village.

Excellent accomadation
We stayed here last July and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so decided to come back again.
The cottages are done to a very high standard and are impeccably clean. Views from the Cart house is superb. A gang of 11 of us in the Stables n Cart House have had a fantastic weekend.
Am sure we will be back.
A good base for lovely walks, races and shopping.
Thanks Elaine 5star service again.

We always look forward to staying at Broadgate Farm
We stayed here last July when visiting family and we will certainly stay at Broadgate Farm next time. The cottage is beautifully decorated, to a very high standard and is exceptionally clean and well prepared. It is very comfortable and like being home from home, an ideal place in which to relax. The location is ideal, close to Beverley and very near Walkington which has two good pub/restaurants and a small , well stocked general shop.

The whole booking process is very efficient and Elaine provides all the information you need both before and during your stay to help make it all as easy as possible .

For us, it has proved to be a far better option than staying in any of the local hotels and we look forward to our next stay.

Very best in this area
Having stayed in many cottages Broadgate Farm is the very best. Each one is immaculate with every comfort and detail catered for. Elaine is welcoming and informative with a generous bottle of wine and treats included. The location is wonderful with the farm animals and countryside views whilst being minutes from the beautiful Beverley.

Great to go back to Broadgate Farm
This is the second year we have visited the area and stayed at Broadgate Farm. Last year we stayed in the Granary and this year we booked The Barn.

The accommodation was first class, beautifully furnished and so comfortable. Every little touch is in the cottage and it was spotlessly clean. We had a very large garden/courtyard, perfect for having our breakfast. We all had great night sleeps in lovely beds and linen.

Elaine and Steve are great hosts and are happy to do anything that is needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.Never be afraid to ask if you need anything.

We had a great day in Hull at the Deep and the Museum quarter, Burton Agnes Hall, Castle Howard and Bridlington. Another day was spent happily in Whitby and the moors plus a fantastic trip to The Eden Camp (well worth a visit) and York.

Great meal in the Ferguson Fawcett in nearby Walkington.

We have already booked for 2018. Thank Elaine for everything

Family get together -The Barn
Ideal place if you are a big family/ group. We couldn't fault the place, it had everything you could wish for. Lovely big kitchen, 3 bathrooms and comfy beds. The cottage was very clean and the lovely little touches like the tin of biscuits, bottle of fizz and tea, coffee and milk was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for a family celebration
Our first visit to Broadgate farm was a great success. The Cart House was beautiful and fitted all eight of our family in with ease. It was spacious and very well equipped and made our stay one to remember. There was a friendly welcome from the owner as soon as we arrived and a lovely welcome package waiting on the dining table. Information brochures about the area, books and games were all available which were all thoughtful touches to make the break enjoyable for all members of the family.

Wonderful Week with Family and Friends
We enjoyed a fabulous week with family and friends at Broadgate Farm Cottages. We stayed in the High Barn. The standard is exceptional. Elaine was really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed exploring the area especially Hull City of Culture 2017. The Feren's Art Gallery was very impressive. I would recommend a stay on this lovely farm.

Perfect little break
My wife booked this for my 60th birthday and invited our daughter her partner and our grandson. The accommodation is superbly appointed and without doubt very tastefully executed. We also brought our Springer Spaniel and the surroundings of East Yorkshire and Beverly were perfect for him. The cottages are a complex situated on a working farm but kept away from the working part of the farm so we had the best of all cases; stunning views, crystal clean air all in the middle of picture perfect English/Yorkshire countryside. Situated at the start of the Yorkshire Wolds it is the ideal start point for anyone seeking a country holiday with the option of country walks both short and more adventurous.

We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a quiet gentle break with or without kids and dogs.

A very good week in East Yorkshire
We have just spent a very pleasant 5 nights in the Stables at Broadgate Farm. The cottage was very clean, very comfortable and well equipped for 4 adults. It is especially good having 2 bathrooms and a secluded, private outside space. For what we wanted to do, and where we wanted to go (Burton Agnes, Burton Constable, Beverley) it was ideally placed in a quiet, picturesque rural setting. We would certainly stay here again and we have no reservations in recommending it.

Forge Cottage - a wonderful home from home.
Stayed here 2 years ago. Loved it and promised myself a return visit and did so last week - it was just as brilliant as I had remembered it being. It is superbly well located for many tourist attractions but the cottage is so lovely staying in and just winding down was a treat. The self-contained garden area gives added value too.
Cottage is cleverly and beautifully designed so feels luxurious and spacious. A really delightful environment and the owners have clearly taken great care in ensuring all the furnishings and accessories within the cottage are excellent quality and plentiful.I found the owners very easy to contact and helpful re additional family members coming and going. Particularly important to me is that the cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival and (unlike some other s/c places) dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid and cloths were all available making life immediately easy.
The welcome goodies of tea, coffee, milk, beer and wine was a delightful surprise and much appreciated.
It is not cheap but in my view great value. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a s/c break in this part of the country.

Carthouse, Broadgate Farm Cottages
Beautifully appointed accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Spacious. Well equipped. Ideal for four couples. Nice outside space. The village is only one mile distant (although the walk is along a main road) and has three pubs. We were a party of nine people, as two families, and there was plenty of room for all of us.

we had 8 of us staying here from Thursday - Sunday. The cottage was immaculate, bedrooms and showers were very good. The surrounds were very peaceful and set in a lovely location and close to Beverly town centre. Elaine was fantastic and a great host. Would defiantly recommend any of the cottages within broad gate farm, as the service received couldn’t be better.

Beautiful cottage beautiful surroundings
My husband and our 3 children stayed over October 1/2 term. Our cottage was absolutely beautiful, spacious and clean. We visited York and Whitby on our stay, we will definitely be back to visit more local areas. The accommodation was superb, Elaine was very helpful with all my little queries and all the little extras were really appreciated, the owners really do go that extra mile. Definitely worth the 5 stars - will be recommended to everyone

Another lovely stay at Broadgate Farm Cottages.
Our third stay at Broadgate Farm for a long weekend. We are always made to feel so welcome by the Owners. The cottages are an exceptional standard and very clean. The surroundings around the farm are beautiful, we had great views of the sheep in the field from our cottage.
We had a wonderful stay, very relaxing like home from home. We will be booking again in the new year!

“Best cottage in Beverley!”
I have booked the cottage for 4 musicians visiting Beverley for an annual educational project and they stayed at The Barn House. It was exactly what they needed for their accommodation.
Great place, great location, good times! The online booking/communication was easy and straightforward. We will probably book again next year!

“Stunning cottages”
I booked two cottages for my friends and family so we could go to Beverley races, July 1st & 2nd. We had The Stables and the Cart house.
My friends stayed in the Stables, so quaint and very well thought about, lovely sitting room, beautiful ensuite bedrooms, a welcome gift on arrival.
I stayed in the Cart House with family and friends, my goodness me, this is breathing taking in size, views and decor. All ensuite bedrooms, all very spacious beautifully decorated and the finishing touches fab.
The lounge,kitchen/ dinner, oh wow this is stunningly beautiful, the kitchen is fantastic, we didn't want to come home. We loved getting up to see the lovely surroundings of the sheep in the field and the pheasants walking about the land too. Pity weather wasn't better we would have sat outside in the very pretty garden.
There was beer and prosecco on arrival, with, butter and biscuits in the fridge.
All linen and towels provided were to a high standard. Complementary radox bath soak and beautiful soaps.
We will definitely come again as we all loved it so much.
On arrival I met Steve, Elaine's partner, who was very polite and informative.
Wished I had met up with Elaine, as nothing as been too much trouble, we have spoken on the phone and corresponded via emails.
Good luck to this hard working couple, who have put a lot of thought and design into their farm estate.
It's simply gorgeous.

We just returned from a wonderful weekend staying at the Granary. The place was stunning- absolutely immaculate. We fell in love with the place as soon as we pulled up. The Granary is extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need- including tea, coffee, sugar and milk!

The views are beautiful and so is the private patio area. Just a short walk into Walkington village where we enjoyed a few drinks in beautiful beer gardens.

Elaine, the owner was very helpful and on hand nearby should we require anything.

We were so sad when it was time to leave but will definitely be returning later on this year and have already recommended to friends and family.

We booked a 2 bed cottage for 3 nights, and although we had seen the photographs on the web site, on arrival the accommodation far exceeded our expectations it was superb. We could not fault it in any respect. Beverley is a market town and very convenient to stay for York and surrounding areas.
