Weavers is a family restaurant and bar with rooms situated in the heart of Bronte country. The kitchen prides itself on using fresh ingredients, preferring to source them locally when possible. They must be doing something right as the restaurant has been open for over three decades, an unusual and commendable achievement. The cooking is homely with hearty fare leaning towards traditional Northern dishes. Starters such as ham hock and pork belly terrine with homemade Piccalilli or warm Morecambe bay brown shrimps and a main of roast loin of Scottish boat cod, braised leeks, colcannon potatoes and herby butter sauce set the tone that's followed through on the a la carte and good value set menu and lunch menus. The bar is stocked with local ales, wines and spirits.
