Trawlers on the Quay

Trawlers lives up to its name with a prime position on the pretty harbour in Looe where the fishing boats moor up after delivering their catch. The fruits of their labour are put to good use in the kitchen in simple dishes with the odd exotic touches. Char-grilled cuttlefish and creamed leeks is given a kick with a wasabi dressing, while 'crispy skin' sea bass has a citrus tang courtesy of an orange, dill and green peppercorn sauce. Expect a mix of locals and tourists, but be warned that it can get busy during the summer. For al fresco aficionados, the restaurant offers a ‘cruise and dine’ package where guests spend the day on the West Looe River on their own boat with a picnic prepared by Trawlers’ chefs.
