The Wharf House Restaurant with Rooms is set in the perfect riverside location. Sample the culinary delights, from a simple tea and scones to a mouthwatering dinner, the restaurant having recently been awarded a highly acclaimed AA red rosette for a second year. The Wharf House offers relaxed fine dining, serving Modern English and European food with a contemporary twist. The bedrooms have been awarded 4 stars by the AA and they each provide wonderful views of the River Severn, or the newly restored Canal Basin. All are equipped with wide-screen TV’s, walk in WiFi and private en-suite facilities, some with luxurious whirl-pool baths. The Wharf House has recently been awarded the Green Tourism’s Silver Award in recognition of how environmentally friendly the business is, including photovoltaic panels on the roof in an attempt to drastically reduce carbon footprint. Local produce is used wherever possible to reduce food miles and support the local community. Whilst visiting you can explore the riverside and the recently restored Canal Basin, learn all about the canal and the local area from the Civil War to today in the free visitor centre. All profits made by The Wharf House are used for the promotion and restoration of the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust.
