The Westerly in Reigate is a stylish, modern unpretentious bistro run by husband and wife team Jon and Cynthia Coomb. The decor is simple yet classy with wooden floors, red high backed banquettes, chocolate leather chairs and bright, modern artwork. The menu is full of dishes that use interesting combinations like English asparagus with crisp air dried ham and soft boiled egg or salt cod fritters with roast tomatoes, rocket and aioli. Continental flavours include a loin of rabbit with chorizo, squid and broad bean paella or burnt sauternes custard, poached rhubarb and strawberries. The wine list features a large selection of organic and biodynamic and natural wines including Poire Granit, a biodynamic French sparkling wine available by the glass.
