The View

Choosing the name for this restaurant must have been an easy job for owner and head chef Matt Corner. Perched high above Whitsand Bay, it looks out across the Rame Peninsula - a spectacular view that would be reason enough for visiting. But the vista is matched by a menu heaving with seafood during the summer and led by locally sourced meat in the winter. Think turbot and asparagus with Hollandaise or best end of lamb with caramelised shallots and Puy lentils. Matt Corner puts his previous experience as head chef at some of the region’s best hotel restaurants to good use. Dishes are simple with the focus on the main ingredient rather than fancy foams and drizzles. A policy that is reflected by the unfussy white washed interior.
