Housed in what was once the village post office and police station, The Old Post Office is a charming restaurant situated just four miles from Cardiff Centre in the quaint, picturesque village of St Fagans. While the building has plenty of history and character, the food is most definitely modern. The dining area is set in a contemporary, warmly lit conservatory where you’ll find stylishly-presented, well-crafted dishes such as pan-fried fillet of brill with a saffron and mussel broth or braised shin of beef with caramelised foie gras, seasonal root vegetables and truffle jus served by friendly, efficient staff. The restaurant offers six en suite rooms, ideal if you want it make a night of it away from the hustle and bustle of Cardiff city centre.
