The Old Bear is an attractive 16th Century inn at the bottom of the High Street which has recently been transformed from a charming country pub to an Italian eatery. Much of the traditional character has been retained; the exterior is as pretty as ever with its white wash walls, leaded windows, bright hanging baskets and large inviting sun terrace out front. Inside the old beams, floorboards and fires give a classic country feel. The menu is varied yet concise with a number of different options for starters, grills, pasta, pizza, salad and sides on a sheet that can fit on one size of a clip board. The friendly, attentive staff and bustling atmosphere has won many fans.
