This food-led pub, just over the bridge from Henley town centre, is a destination for all seasons. Cosy up beside the open fire in the attractively contemporary bar in the winter or while away a sunny summer afternoon in the courtyard. The flexible menu means you can choose a lunchtime sandwich from the specials board, share a Little Angel Plate with homemade Scotch egg and chicken liver and foie gras parfait or settle in for three courses that might include Pan fried wood pigeon breast with a pancetta, sautéed potato and hazelnut salad or honey-glazed ham hock on sweet potato purée with a cider sauce. Book in advance for the Two Ton Table where you can carve a Sunday roast joint for your guests.

Local Directions: Henley-on-Thames is approximately 36 miles west of London and 9 miles east of Reading. It lies on the A4130 which runs from Oxford to Maidenhead. From London, take the M4 motorway, exit at junction 8/9 or the M40 motorway and exit at junction 4, then the A404(M) and A4130 to Henley. At the base of Remenham Hill (A4130) before you reach the bridge over the Famous Regatta Course into Henley Town Centre, you will see us on your right in the dip.
