Since its tasteful transformation, not only has the quality of the modern British cuisine increased but the pub has become the hub of the local community once more, bringing people together for quiz nights, live music, beer festivals and themed evenings like a Burns Night whisky tasting. The wisteria clad Victorian building makes for a picture perfect exterior and there is a well kept garden for al fresco dining or drinks. The interior is a shabby chic collection of wooden tables, chairs and comfortable window seats with a raft of cricket memorabilia adorning the walls. The landlords, Chris and Amanda, reportedly make some cracking home made seasonal drinks, like blackberry brandy, mulled wine and sloe gin.
