This vibrant, contemporary restaurant is a further offering from the acclaimed local Gingerman group. Like its sister restaurants, The Ginger Pig takes advantage of seasonal ingredients to produce excellent food in a laid-back setting. Although the menu is largely influenced by European cuisine there are forays into the orient with starters such as crispy squid with white miso mayonnaise and a black radish salad or pan fried sea bass with crispy king prawn, stir fried vegetables and a fragrant mussel and coconut broth for a main. Traditionalists will be pleased to see char-grilled Scotch rib-eye with dripping chips and horseradish butter or game pie with spiced red cabbage and creamed mash as alternative mains with roasted rhubarb with custard parfait and hazelnut crumb to follow.
