In the bustling harbour of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight sits the The George Hotel, a historic 17th century town house. The hotel’s brasserie offers contemporary cuisine with a focus on organic, local seasonal food and a passion for seafood. The seafood is sourced from local suppliers to create dishes like Ventnor hand-picked crab meat open lasagne with white and brown crab and pink grapefruit as well as Isle of Wight line caught sea bass with bok choi, sesame seeds, vanilla, Thai puree and lemongrass sauce. There is a gourmet tasting menu for really pushing the boat out. The George Hotel has a contemporary styling with subtle colours and lighting and a zinc topped bar. The alfresco terrace and patio on the water’s edge are very popular.
