The Feversham Arms is a stylish, yet unpretentious country house hotel on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors. Warm earthy tones, cream wood panelling and subtle soft lighting create a welcoming and intimate atmosphere in the restaurant. Head Chef, Simon Kelly and his brigade produce classically inspired cuisine with modern flourishes from locally sourced seasonal ingredients that include game and meat from nearby farms, and fish from the Yorkshire coast. Dinner might kick off with an imaginative foie gras crème brulee with sweet and sour kumquats, celery and coriander salad and sesame praline tuille to be followed by a fillet of sea bass with poached lobster, roast garlic puree and watercress. A comprehensive wine list offers an enormous selection, including many magnums.
