This hotel and restaurant is located in a magnificent Edwardian mansion, perched on a hillside overlooking the Dales. A vibrant and upbeat refurbishment with bold colours and slick contemporary furniture has created a bar/bistro for light meals, such as sausage and mash or fish and chips, and a restaurant with a more sophisticated menu and atmosphere. Locally sourced seasonal ingredients are the order of the day from which the kitchen produces a well crafted, modern British cuisine. Starters may include a caramelized celeriac veloute, seared scallops and apple jelly to be followed by roast cod fillet, confit potato, curly kale, with a caper and shallot beurre noisette. The impressive wine list features 2,500 rare and fine wines.
