The Clarendon is a beautiful converted country pub in Chandlers Cross, which is just 5 minutes from the M25 and M1. The exposed brick walls and open fires contrast with stylish, contemporary furniture, use of sumptuous fabrics and bright modern art on display. Upstairs is a fine dining restaurant, while downstairs plays host to a light, buzzy canteen. Everything about this place is stylish, the attention to detail in the decor is evident and the food is superbly presented, as is the smart waiting staff in their uniform of chocolate cocktail dresses. Enjoy the line caught the English rose veal chop served with Madeira braised celery, Secretts Farm carrots and soft polenta before tickling your tastebuds on the roast pineapple with pain d’epice and chilli lime sorbet.
