Executive Chef Alfred Prasad sets himself the challenge of changing your perception of Indian food. This award-winning Indian restaurant in Mayfair offers a fine dining experience which successfully mixes modern and seasonal dishes alongside traditional tandoori dishes. Alfred’s sensitive use of spice and imaginative flavour combinations has earned Tamarind the reputation of the original ‘haute Indian’. Its offers a range of dining options from seasonal set menus, pre-theatre tasting menus, a la cartes and the Shahi Dawat or tasting menu. The tasting menu at Tamarind includes dishes like tender lamb cutlets with ginger, turmeric, peppercorns and dried mint and monkfish chunks marinated with fresh mint, lime-leaf, green chilli, and roasted gram flour. The stylish gold themed dining room offers the perfect backdrop for an intimate dinner for two.
