The unassuming exterior and simple yet smart cream and reddish-brown decor inside hardly give an inkling of the culinary genius that lies within Sienna. Despite its small stature (the restaurant only seats 15) the food delivers a big punch. After a selection of canapés and homemade bread you could start with sautéed squid with slow-cooked chorizo and piquillo pepper velouté. Truffle-crusted fillet of West Country beef with roasted sweetbreads, potato gnocchi and red wine jus may come next. However, the piece de resistance is surely the sublime ‘Selvática’ chocolate tasting plate which comprises of a white chocolate bavarois, bitter chocolate tart, dark chocolate parfait and milk chocolate shake. And if you are unable to choose what to eat, there is a six course tasting menu available too.
