Semplice, translates as simplicity and the name matches the philosophy of the restaurant. The decor is attractive and contemporary with clean lines and polished surfaces and plain white crockery continuing the theme. Some 60% of the restaurant’s ingredients are sourced directly from small scale Italian producers resulting in tasty yet traceable food. Chef/proprietor Marco Torri has a passion for authentic Italian food with a gourmet twist exemplified by signature dishes of risotto a la Milanese with saffron and bone marrow and roast milk-fed Piedmontese veal with spelt and a cep sauce. The sheer quality of the ingredients and richness of the dishes shines through.
