A commitment to good quality, local ingredients has seen Saffron become one of Truro’s most popular eating destinations. A compact yet bright restaurant decorated in citrus hues it offers diners a relaxed atmosphere and an accomplished seasonal modern British menu which changes on a weekly basis. Seafood features prominently with dishes such as brown crab gnocchi with wild leaves and a saffron and leek sauce and grilled escalopes of monkfish with nero noodles and an orange and hazelnut dressing on the menu. However, it also showcases an array of local meat and game dishes such as roast loin of lamb, beetroot mousse and rosemary jus and roast whole Cornish teal with garlic polenta and quince sauce as well as a Cornish cheese tasting plate for dessert.
