Chef-owner Ronnie Faulkner began his culinary training at his grandmother's side at the age of seven. He went on to train in classical French cuisine and patisserie before working in some of the most prestigious kitchens in the UK and Europe, for chefs such as Anton Mosimann and Ed Baines. In 2008, he opened his own restaurant in Thornbury, and was awarded The Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year award in 2009. Ronnies is situated in a sympathetically renovated 17th century building, serving European-inspired dishes, with a focus on quality, simplicity, freshness. Bold flavours and technical flair define the menu, with starters such as guinea fowl sausage seasoned with red wine and bacon sitting alongside main courses like line caught sea bass with fennel and courgette panache.
