Three words sum up this restaurant – decadent, indulgent and lavish. Set in a renovated 17th century country house, the glamorous backdrop surroundings include original paintings hung on hand-woven richly coloured wallpaper and huge chandeliers adorning domed ceilings. The menu of exquisite dishes create with the best of Scottish ingredients might include Isle of Mull crab, honey-roast ham ribs, toasted hazelnuts, mango salsa. Rhubarb offers a range of dining areas, from two interlocking oval-shaped Regency rooms to a range of decadent private dining rooms of varying sizes. The salon privet is an intimate, romantic opera-style box for two in the turret of the house while the Garden Room caters for up to 50 and opens onto a private terrace with access to Prestonfield’s landscaped gardens.
