Enjoying an enviable location on the edge of the Peak District National Park, the Red Lion Pub and Bistro is set in a beautiful old building, which has retained much of its original charm. The decor is a mix of traditional with flashes of the contemporary; exposed dark wooden beams and sandstone walls alongside comfy leather armchairs, soft lighting and iconic black and white photography. The pub's piano is used weekly by local jazz bands who add to the relaxed ambiance. Food is impressive and sourced from the ‘garden that is Derbyshire’ with most of the herbs and vegetables coming from the pub’s own back garden. The menu changes frequently and there’s also daily specials using local game, pheasant, rabbit, partridge and venison.

At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A632 Signposted Matlock Turn right at main lights signposted Matlock. Follow road out into countryside approx 1.5 miles turn right onto B5057 Signposted Darley Dale . Peak Edge Hotel and The Red Lion are 300 yards on left hand side.
