Simple wooden tables furnish this rustic vegetarian restaurant which has been decorated in warm ochres. A vermillion carpet gives a cheerful but cosy feel. The menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients and flavours from around the world. Commence with a crisp fennel and shallot tart with feta cheese and green olives or sticky lemongrass rice wrapped with ribbons of Nori seaweed served chilled with tamari and slices of avocado. A soufflé like smoked Cumberland cheese roulade filled with mushrooms cooked with red wine and herbs and served with a tomato and red wine sauce could be a good choice for a main. Taste buds are tantalised by the selection of desserts which can include chilled layered crunchy cinnamon rhubarb or Glayva parfait.
