Once you step into the opulent dining room, you'll know how this smart hotel restaurant got its name. Red walls are off set by a polished wood floor, high backed leather chairs and lots of white linen. A concise menu of broadly modern European dishes might include a fresh and light starter of avocado and crab salad with cured beetroot and pink grapefruit dressing and a satisfying main course of lamb fillet with roasted root vegetables and morel mushroom infused jus. Classic desserts include Eton mess, creme brulee, fresh fruit cheesecake and chocolate and orange mousse.
