Enjoy sustainable seafood with a clear conscience at this luxurious, elegant restaurant just off Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Former head chef to Rick Stein, Roy Brett has gained accreditation from the Marine Stewardship Council for a menu that includes as much line and hand caught produce as possible. Take a seat at the centrepiece crustacean bar and share a grand fruits of the sea or roast shellfish platter for two over a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet from the reasonably priced list. Main courses range from Eyemouth brown crab and butternut squash risotto to a sophisticated fish curry. Steaks are available for the less piscine inclined.
